The Nike Ja 1 Scratch is a colorway of Ja Morants first signature shoe designed in the team uniform colors of the former Vancouver Grizzlies. Nicknamed the Scratch, this turquoise-based colorway shows appreciation for the Memphis Grizzlies history, particularly its time in Vancouver, where the Grizzlies were located during their entrance into the NBA in the mid-1990s. The shoe features a Rapid Teal mesh and leather upper with both materials appearing on various points on the design. A black Swoosh with white claw marks is found on either side. Additional claw scratches, undoubtedly a nod to the Grizzlies nickname, team mascot, and Jas aggressive style of play, are found on the lateral side of the shoe, particularly on the white midsole. Jas signature branding is found on the tongue and his 12 jersey number appears on the heel of the left and right shoe in tan and red, respectively. ScratchWith a comfortable tongue design
